A RAINY DAY WEDDING AT THE BERIDA HOTEL BOWRAL
Haydon & Gaby’s Wedding at the Berida Hotel in Bowral
Haydon and Gaby originally planned to hold their wedding ceremony at the Botanical garden in Bowral but the weather had other plans. Faced with a day of pouring rain we had to improvise fast.
The couple decided to hold their ceremony in Aspinall’s Whiskey Bar, in the Berida Hotel. This was originally where originally they intended to hold their afternoon reception.
The hotel staff were fantastic and very accomodating. Together with family and friends we rearranged the furniture in the bar to create a ceremony space with beautiful bay windows as the background. The atmosphere was amazing and it was a perfect setting for a wedding ceremony. Their two little girls wore matching pink Doctor Martins and were amazing flower girls and probably stole the show.
Haydon and Gaby are both the literary type and wrote their own vows, which were beautiful. Guests stepped up to read poems and prose about the subject of love and the family’s speeches were so heartfelt and sincere, it was lovely.
The Berida Hotel has a beautiful interior. With it’s rich blue wallpaper and exquisite decoration every corner offered something special to work with. So after the ceremony we gladly stayed indoors as the rain came down and photographed the couples wedding portraits with the hotel’s stunning interiors as our setting.
